Timothée Chalamet is poised to embody the iconic musician Bob Dylan in the highly anticipated biopic A Complete Unknown. The new trailer, unveiled by Searchlight Pictures on October 8, offers a glimpse into Chalamet’s portrayal of Dylan, now 83, as it chronicles his ascent in New York City and the pivotal moment of his electric music transition at the 1965 Newport Folk Festival.

Chalamet first emerged on the New York City set of A Complete Unknown in March, subsequently filming musical sequences with Barbaro at Echo Lake Park in New Jersey the following April. He also shared the set with Elle Fanning, who plays a significant role alongside him.
In preparation for this transformative role, Chalamet has undertaken extensive research, including a visit to Bob Dylan’s alma mater in Hibbing, Minnesota. There, he interacted with drama students, immersing himself in the essence of Dylan’s early life and the place that shaped his artistry.
